The Rankei is a Japanese style lantern which has been carved from a light grey granite. Originally found over hanging ponds and streams where the architectural design is reflected, the arching coloumn creates a strong focal feature and draws the eye up towards the intricate handcarved pieces that make up the centre of attention on this piece. Comes in 6 pieces that sit on top of each other. With the curved column fitting into a recess within the base stone. The illusion of a floating top is given by the stainless steel supports, this area can be additionally highlighted with the LED light kit which is included.
