The Rankei is a Japanese style lantern which has been carved from a light grey granite. Originally found over hanging ponds and streams where the architectural design is reflected, the arching coloumn creates a strong focal feature and draws the eye up towards the intricate handcarved pieces that make up the centre of attention on this piece. Comes in 6 pieces that sit on top of each other. With the curved column fitting into a recess within the base stone. For added stability against high winds or in areas where it may be knocked by children and pets, the pieces can be joined together with a suitable adhesive for outdoor use. The illusion of a floating top is given by the stainless steel supports, this area can be additionally highlighted with the LED light kit which is included. Bringing together the elements of earth, water and light in a beautiful feature that will stand the test of time. This feature would suit a hidden reservoir base, and therefore would need to be placed upon a support grid with the pump to be connected and exit at the base of the feature into the reservoir below.
