This large pot features a shapely body and 6 raised bands on its upper body and a prominent rim. Fired high in the kiln which has resulted in stunning patterning and shine to the salt glazed finish. There is no drainage hole in the base but an outlet hole has been placed at the bottom of one side, making this piece ideal to be used as part of a water feature.

Tall handmade pottery water feature. This self contained water feature will bring the tranquil sounds of running water along with high visual impact to any outdoor area. Beautifully crafted in a sleek cylinder design, glazed in shades of blue with a high shine finish going into a matt black base. The central disc is handmade in a natural textured finish, from here the water is pumped out through the central hole and flows back into the main vessel between the space in ceramic glazed feature and central disc. The ER pottery is sited and still works from the former woollen mill, with the production of textiles represented in this sculptural piece. The organic form shows the free flowing movement of fabric with a central seam running down the middle. The heavy masculine details of rivets, ripped and folded edges incorporate the heavy steel banding and bolts that hold our kiln in place. This handthrown and manipulated vessel has intense dark salt glazed patterning enhanced by a special slip produced in house and has been finished in our coal fired Beehive kiln with a borax glazed base inside.

The Rankei is a Japanese style lantern which has been carved from a light grey granite. Originally found over hanging ponds and streams where the architectural design is reflected, the arching coloumn creates a strong focal feature and draws the eye up towards the intricate handcarved pieces that make up the centre of attention on this piece. Comes in 6 pieces that sit on top of each other. With the curved column fitting into a recess within the base stone.
